Heart of Bhutan
May 2 to 11, 2027

Bhutan translates to Land of Thunder Dragon. Perched high in the Himalayan mountains, it is is the world’s last remaining Buddhist Kingdom and the only Vajrayana Buddhist nation in the world. The profound teachings of this tradition remain well preserved and exert a strong influence in all aspects of life. Many have heard of its philosophy of "Gross National Happiness" where the country's development is measured using a holistic approach of well-being, not just its gross domestic product. In addition to the stunning scenery, this strong sense of culture and tradition binds the kingdom and distinguishes it from its neighbors.
