Welcome! If you’re reading this, you’ll soon be traveling to Namibia, where you’ll be introduced to a country renowned for its dramatic landscapes, the world's oldest desert, and a coastline where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean. Below are a few hand-picked recommendations to read or watch in order to learn more about this beautiful country before you land.

A few notes:

There are dozens of guidebooks available with wonderful descriptions of the sights you will be seeing, but the purpose of this list is not to offer a recommendation on guidebooks, but instead to give suggestions of interesting books and films about Namibia (or filmed there), or by authors from the country.
